Apple “Ultra Portatil” ?

Se dice que Apple decidirá utilizar el nuevo chip de Intel, “Silverthorne”, de 45 nanómetros en el 2008, el cual probablemente sería la nueva generación Productos Ultra Portatiles.

Algunos rumores dicen que Apple piensa usar la plataforma “UMPC” (Ultra Mobile PC) de Intel para alguna nueva generación de productos.

Estos chips Silverthrone se caracterizan por estar diseñados para celulares y UMPC los cuales brindan una larga duración de la batería y un rendimiento de proceso sin utilizar mucha energía.

En todo caso se ve que Apple esta muy enfocada en la plataforma y con esos “multiples dispositivos” damos por hecho que hay mas que solo un producto ultra portátil.

“La plataforma “Menlow” de Intel es muy importante para los futuros gadgets: está compuesta de “silverthorne“, un pequeño procesador de bajo consumo de energía y de “Poulsbo“, el chipset que controla la tarjeta madre.” dice Ubergizmo

¿Que sera?
una ¿Mac-tablet? una ¿Mac ultra portatil? Solo el Tiempo y las Keynotes de Jobs no lo podrán decir.

Estaria bueno un UMPC estilo iphone, como lo que publicaron en engadget.
